Welcome to act two of our kitchen refresh. If you recall, we started de-eighties-ifying (is that a word?) our kitchen by removing the glass built-ins on one side of the room. It was a GREAT start but I knew all along I wanted to do something to the other side of the room. To give it a good haircut and lighten the room.
Our kitchen spruce up (I hesitate to call it a renovation) is underway but I thought it would be fun to show you the part that we finished this fall. When we looked at this home the kitchen was a true selling point. Lofted ceiling, rustic beams, cozy fireplace…what more could one ask for? But after living in the space for the past four years, I was beginning to see its weak spots.
I thought I would do something a little different over here with a home tour. And what better place to start than this bright, eclectic, fun, and well-traveled home. Several years ago my mom mentioned visiting a new friend’s home (Tina) and that I would LOVE her style. Fast forward to this summer and I took the opportunity to see it for myself. Boy was I not disappointed. So much life and energy and love in this place. I can’t wait to share.
As much as I love working on big transformations like my previous posts here, here, here, and here, I also have clients who need just a little confidence boost. They have an idea of the direction they want to take but want me to confirm their choices or offer a fresh perspective on their ideas. Such was the case here.
